Enactus is a global non-profit organization comprised of student, academic, and business leaders who are committed to using the power of entrepreneurship to develop and execute projects to tackle social, environmental, and economic issues.
At Enactus Sheridan, we are a student-driven organization backed by a team of dedicated faculty advisors committed to advancing our community through project development. We are student leaders taking a stand to implement progressive and sustainable change.
Project LIFE – Literacy in Financial Education, is a module and workshop-based program that covers the topics of budgeting, taxation, and credit & debt. Our workshops have been specifically designed for high school students, catering to their needs, spending habits, and goals. We believe that through financial education in our “for students, by students” model, we can build a better financial future together.
We plan to roll out our workshops in the classrooms of high schools to create awareness of this economic issue.
With modules being continually developed with the help of professors and industry leaders, we will be creating all learning materials to hand over to high schools.
A community champion can take on our initiative and have students teach the curriculum to their peers en route to completing their 40 hours of community service.
Our workshops are easily adaptable and mobile. We will transfer our modules to the teacher and students through our train the trainer program to ensure that students are capable of delivering these workshops.
